 Carpe Diem is a recently completely renovated porch with 3 comfortable guest rooms. The Bed & Breakfast is located in the historical center of Solferino at only 15 km from Lake Garda : the ideal base to explore Lake Garda and his surroundings, for weekend "relax, culture or gastronomy" or just the perfect place to stay during a business trip.
The management of the B&B is completely in the hands of our family and the responsible, of Belgian origin can assist in Italian, English, French, Dutch and basic German.
We give detailed tips to discover the area that offers a wide range
possibilities : the Lake Garda and his typical villages, the cities of Art : Verona, Mantua and Venice (at one and a half hour train from Desenzano del Garda), the amusement parks: Gardaland, Caneva World, Movie Land, the waterpark "La Quiete", ideal for a day of relax or the thermal centers of Sirmione and Colà ....
and of course Solferino itself, famous in the whole world for the battle of 1859, in which the idea of the International Red Cross was born.
The region is also the kingdom of good cooking : from simple and traditional to sophisticated dishes accompanied by DOC wines of the Morainic Hills or from the Lake Garda. We suggest you to try them in one of the restaurants, at walking distance of the Bed & Breakfast "Carpe Diem".
