Booking reservations and availability

You can easily make a reservation via email, use the booking form or book directly. Here you can check the prices and the availability of the rooms.

Breakfast is not included in the room price.

Arrival and departure

The rooms are available from 3 pm and we ask that you check in before 9 pm. In order to welcome you personally, we kindly ask you to inform us of your estimated arrival time at least one week before your stay in our Bed & Breakfast.

Other arrival times can be agreed on upon request.

On the day of departure please leave the room by 10 am at the latest.

Payment conditions

To confirm your reservation we will send you a communication and ask you for a deposit of 30% of the total price, to be paid within 7 days after your confirmation. The payment can be made by bank transfer to the bank account of the owner of Bed & Breakfast Carpe Diem.  In case of cancellation of the reservation the deposit will not be returned.

The balance must be paid 7 days before the date of arrival by bank transfer or on site in cash on the day of arrival, before entering the room.

For last minute bookings the total amount must be paid in cash on arrival, before entering the room.

If we have not received a deposit, the reservation will be cancelled and we reserve the right to give the reserved room to other guests.

We do not accept bank cards, credit cards or cheques. An ATM bancomat is available at 75 meters from our Bed & Breakfast.

By paying the deposit, you enter into an agreement and thus you declare that you have received and approved the terms and conditions of Bed & Breakfast Carpe Diem. The terms and conditions of Bed & Breakfast Carpe Diem apply to the agreement. A copy of the terms and conditions will be sent as an attachment in our booking confirmation email.

Standard cancellation policy

There can always be circumstances that require you to cancel or change your planned stay. For this reason, we require the following:

You must notify us of any cancellation by e-mail.

Amount due upon cancellation:

• more than 30 days before the date of arrival = 30% of the total price.
• between 30 and 7 days before the date of arrival = 50% of the total price.
• less than 7 days before the date of arrival = 100% of the total price.

An early departure of the guest, for whatever reason, does not result in a refund, not even partially.

To minimise the financial consequences for you, we recommend that you take out travel and/or cancellation insurance with your insurance agent.

Customized cancellation policy in case of uncertainty regarding travelling to Italy due to Covid-19

We understand that it is complicated to plan a holiday because of Covid-19. To reduce the concerns when making a reservation, we have temporarily extended the cancellation policy for the 2022 season.

You can cancel free of charge and decide whether you want your payment refunded immediately or whether you want to postpone your stay with a voucher to 2023.

Terms and conditions:

• If the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the country of the guest (your place of residence) or the host (Italy) issues negative travel advice for the region of Lombardy in Italy less than 2 weeks before arrival. Negative travel advice means “no travelling allowed”.
• If one or more members of the travel group show symptoms of illness associated with Covid-19 and have tested positive.

This possibility does not apply to vouchers from the 2021 season or cancellations from 2021 that you have rebooked to 2022.

Reservations cancelled for other reasons are subject to our standard cancellation policy. So please do not forget to get your own cancellation insurance.

Liability

All risks related to a stay at Bed & Breakfast Carpe Diem are the responsibility of the guests.

Bed & Breakfast Carpe Diem is not liable for damage or personal injury, loss or theft of any nature whatsoever, caused to guests or caused by other guests. You, as a guest, must report and compensate damage and loss of movable and immovable goods belonging to the owner.

Bed & Breakfast Carpe Diem is not liable for damage, loss or theft of guest property. In case of disputes, all legal costs are the guests responsibility. They must be paid by the guest.

Bed & Breakfast Carpe Diem is not liable for damage resulting from natural catastrophes, natural disasters, attacks, strikes, violence or accidents.

Bed & Breakfast Carpe Diem is not liable for illness or death as a result of an infection such as the COVID-19 virus.
